We met in first grade of Greenpark primary. after two weeks we knew each other pretty well, so we went out and played together on our favourite playground. We are best friends now and every day we ask each other if we've got anything on ,and if not we ask if we can go to each others house.
We always have fun together.

In block 3 we played super soccer at the field. And Cameron got hit in the back of the head and Mark got hit in the gut and he said it hurt.

My Dog

My Dog

I have always wanted a dog from when I was about 4 years old so my dad said I had to wait until I turned 7.
It was my seventh birthday I woke up and my dad was already looking on trademe for a dog, he asked me which type of dog I wanted for my birthday and I said I wanted a German Shepherd.

That morning we found a dog that was located close to Mount Ruapehu. We rung up the owner of the dog and he said that he was free that day. About lunch time we drove up, picked her up and brought her home. The first thing we did was we gave her a bath and then we named her Jasmine.

She has just turned 6 years old and she's quite happy having me as an owner.

Week 3 Room1 Blog

Rhys's Interview
Rhys said "To make a mosaic is a slow process but the end result makes it worth it. If he had the opportunity to do it again he wouldn't because it was too difficult and slow."

After interviewing Rhys we learnt a lot about mosaics and thought that we would give it a go but that did not happen but Kody and I did do our own art Kody did a tile and a rock and I did a plate we thought that we would ask some more people from  room1 what they did.

Ethan did a rock and a tile,
Petra did a rock ,tile and a mosaic
and Ally did a tile.

So this is what room1 did in the art suite

Seoul, Korea 2011

On September 24th 2011 a group of ten year six students, five parents and four teachers met at Auckland International Airport to fly to Seoul in South Korea. I had a hurried breakfast at 'Subway' before meeting outside customs to get into the departure lounge. It was very hard to say goodbye to my family but I put on a brave face and headed towards security before going into the departure lounge. We looked around the departure lounge for a while before heading towards gate five to catch our plane. The plane was GIANT!!! We entered the plane which was called 'Korean Air' and got ourselves comfy for the twelve hour flight ahead of us. After a very long and tiring flight we finally arrived at the Incheon International Airport. I was SO tired, I felt like I was going to collapse! We then had to jump onto a big shuttle bus as we were still two hours away from Seoul. When we arrived at 'Hansin Elementary School' we met our home stay families for the first time ever. I was crying and tears were streaming down my face when I was meeting my home stays. The first day was a time to settle in and get to know our home stays. My family took me fishing, after that I got to meet up with Brianna and her home stay family. We started talking and then buckets of tears started pouring out of our eyes. Brianna's home stay mother asked Brianna if her home stay and her would like to stay the night at my home stay family's apartment!!! It made us both feel much, much better. The next day we had to go to school. I was SO nervous, but it turned out that Tyla was in my class, so I had another English speaking person in my class! We stayed in class until quarter past eleven which is when we went down for lunch, lunch was okay, but we weren't really used to the food that they served us!!! After lunch we went to Seoul Tower. It was SO high up and I am afraid of heights so it was really quite scary for me, but I really enjoyed myself!!!

Save The Earth

We need to start to be more aware of what we do with our rubbish. We all need to start recycling and composting otherwise in the future we will be living in our own rubbish and we will be living like rats in a drain. So, in conclusion, we all need to be more aware of what we do with our rubbish.
